Rewards

Just a quick question tonight.  I am soooo past my bedtime and should save this, but I will forget to ask.

What do you as a reward for reaching a mini goal or other milestone?

I have bought work out pants and songs for my iPod.  I try not to use food as a reward cause it backfires on me.  So chime in what do you use to treat yourself for a job well done?

Well, I set myself a goal of losing 30lbs in the 3 - 4 months I am back in the UK. In the first 3 weeks I have lost 18lbs, so I’ve upped my goal to being in ONEderland by Jan 1st 2010! So, that means I have 9 weeks to lose another 23lbs. My reward is going to be a new outfit and hair cut/colour. I want to blow my fiance away when he meets me at the airport! I’ll be at least 40lbs lighter than when I left!! So, definitely rewarding myself with new clothes and a new hair cut/colour! YAY!

I want new clothes and a hair color. Another reward is the example I would be setting for my daughter to meet my goal at WW.

Usually something new like jeans or a tshirt I previously thought looked bad..something tangible that isnt going to go to my hips or be gone in a few bites ;)

U can look back at my blogs, I got myself a ring form this jewelry store in Wichita, KS that my Aunt and cousins have and u can bu more gym stones for it and so I got the original ring and gemstone at 30 down, a new gym stone at 60 down, ring guards to match at 6 months straught weightloss, then when I got to where I am now at almost 100 poounds down, I sent it to my cousin and she had it sized down to an 8 from a 10 and also she bought and sent me a new gem stone :) I wear the ring EVERY day and I LOVE it !

It is sooo funny that I read this today I litterally sat down and made a rewards list for myself today! I am going by every 10 lbs I lose, my first 10 lbs that comes off is getting me a purse haha.
    But never ever ever food!
I think it is an awesome idea to set rewards to know we are going to get something (except) looking great out of it!

Hey Jessie, I try to reward myself at 5 pound increments. So far I dyed my hair, got a pedicure, and bought some new jeans. I had a free makeover planned at Kohl’s but somehow they had they’re scheduling off. So Im looking around for other free makeover offers. When I hit my mini goal I wanted to take a family portrait. But I may move that to the final goal. So I’m thinking my next goal may be to get a massage. It is so needed!

I usually don’t reward myself. I will have to think about this. You are doing awesome!

I haven’t met my mini goal yet :( Mine is 199. I’m getting pretty close. Losing 39 pounds took longer ten I thought it would! ;)
I’d thought about the rewards, but it seems like I get it before I get to my mini goal. I was going to reward myself with a hair cut, but I went ahead and got that. So I was going to reward myself with an aquarium, but I got that for my birthday. I haven’t thought of what I want now. Lol… probably don’t need to think about it until I reach it ha? ;)

But yeah I’m like you…. I don’t think rewarding yourself with food would be good.

    GREAT question!!!

It is obvious that I have not yet reach the right mind set for healthy life style as I would have rewarded myself with a big serving of icecream (my favorite desert). Considering I am not yet at my minigoal I have time to re-think this idea or maybe not.
